Businesses seek ways to foster innovation. Creativity has been christened as a 21st century skill. Collaboration has taken its place at the top of the list of current buzzwords. Yet, the cycle of acceptance of new still begins with rejection. People still identify as “not creative,” believing that creativity is a gift they did not receive or a trait they do not possess. And collaborators are still subject to an unspoken hierarchy that often inhibits people from sharing their perspectives.  Humor and improv are tools that can be leveraged to create an equal playing field for idea generation and innovation across.
