I have worked in healthcare for 23 years. I play with my patients. I offer smiles, laughter, humor, and hugs when asked. I help patients, families and caregivers on their journey with cancer as a chronic illness. I demonstrate self-effacing and situational humor. I have fun visuals in my office, on my badge, and on my clothing. I offer hope and encourage resilience through education and modeling. I share articles, books and research on the importance of stress management and positive attitude for survivorship. I am an AATH member, a Certified Humor Professional (not part of the California Highway Patrol - also CHP), and a Certified Laughter Leader with World Laughter Tour.
